The space

Leopard's Kloof is an intimate luxury tented camp nestled in a secluded valley just 20 minutes from Montagu. The two-sleeper tented camp has every little luxury you could imagine for a luxe mountain escape: a full kitchen with a stove, fridge, cutlery, crockery and tea and coffee-making facilities and a lounge with a large Chesterfield sofa, cosy blankets and an indoor fireplace which is ideal on cool evenings.

The bedroom boasts a large king-sized bed with mosquito nets and an en-suite bathroom which features a large freestanding bath and outdoor shower with astonishing valley views. The living area opens up onto a wrap-around wooden deck with a seating area and a luxurious hammock for reading a good book or sipping a hot cup of coffee while admiring the wilderness views.

Leopard's Kloof is completely solar-powered which means you'll escape loadshedding for your stay. The camp is connected with elevated walkways that lead to a crisp swimming pool and hot tub or a braai area and outdoor lounge with a pizza oven.

Things to know

Leopard's Kloof is a 4x4 accessible glamping stay that's completely off-grid. Solar from the sun powers the lights and fridge, but there are no electrical appliances or plug points in the cabin. ​The camp is located within Wolwehoek Private Nature Reserve which means you may encounter wildlife during your stay. The cabin is set 4km down a 4X4 access road and sometimes in bad weather the road can become tricky.
